Just had to create more of the spring dreams. Hope you will enjoy each creation of
daffodils and tulips.
There are two compositions of daffodils and two of tulips. The daffodils are colored
pencil with emphasis on yellow and blue. The tulips are watercolor and emphasize
the cool yet bright colors in the flower and stem.
Note cards are available for all four creations: signed and numbered prints are
available for the Daffodils in Blue Vase and Daffodils with Butterfly.
Spring Beauties Series B
Welcome to the COLORS OF THE SEASONS from Jean Skelton Original Art!
'Daffodil with Butterfly'
More butterflies! With daffodils! Even if it is early for the butterflies, not so for the yellow
harbingers of spring. This piece utilizes colored pencil for the objects, with a pale blue watercolor
wash in the background.
'Daffodil with Blue Base'
This was created for my daughter whose favorite color is cobalt blue. This particular vase has been
in the family for many years. Just perfect with the daffodils to cheer us on into spring. Obviously
at this place and season the butterfly had to be imagined! This piece was created with color pencil.
'Pink Tulip'
It amazes me that the foliage of the tulips varies slightly from color to color of the flower. This
delicate pink tulip had such a delicate pale foliage that I just had to work on it. This was created
in watercolor. Available as note cards only.
'Variegated Red Tulip'
And the subtle golden blush creeping from the base of the tulip was intriguing. This too is in
watercolor. Available as note cards only.
